Summer Solstice Team Tournament

Get ready for a fun, fast-paced, and highly strategic day of pickleball at the Summer Solstice Team Tournament! This unique event combines team camaraderie with competitive doubles play in an exciting rotating team format.

Team Format

Each team is made up of 6 players, organized into 3 doubles pairs. During group play, every doubles pair on your team will compete against the corresponding doubles pairs from the opposing teams.

Every point matters — all points earned by each doubles pair contribute to your team’s overall cumulative score.

Group Play

• Teams compete in a round-robin style format.
• Each doubles pair plays all opposing doubles pairs.
• Points scored in every match are added together to create the team’s total cumulative score.
• Team standings are determined by the combined points earned by all 3 doubles pairs throughout group play.

Advancement to the Medal Round

After group play concludes:

• Teams will be ranked based on their total cumulative points.
• The top-ranked teams will advance to the Medal Round.

Medal Round Format

The Medal Round introduces an exciting true team-play format:

• Each doubles pair will play a rotating segment of the match.
• Pairs compete for 4 points, then rotate out for the next doubles pair to continue the game.
• This rotation continues throughout the match, creating a dynamic team atmosphere where every player contributes to the final result.
